2025 Willow Tree Golf Thursday Women’s league

Join the fun of the Thursday Women’s League every week! This lively event offers season-long golf with plenty of fun, good times and (if your wish) competition.  Featuring multiple flights, so golfers of all abilities can enjoy and excel.

New this year: Shotgun Start Nights! Get ready for added excitement as we introduce these special evenings throughout the season.  All Players start & finish at same time, meet up after their game for fun, food and drinks!

Compete for fantastic prizes all season, leading up to a grand finale Closing Event with a banquet dinner and well-earned awards. Don’t miss out—come for the golf, stay for friendships!

1.0 COMMITMENT – ALL golfers must be committed to the League by April 8.  (After April 8th, $25 added late fee applied)

2.0 LEAGUE REGISTRATION & GREEN FEES 

2.1 $75 per player. (After April 8th, $25 added late fee applied), INCLUDES:

2.1.1. $1.00 / week will be allocated to the weekly Hole Contests for each flight. 

2.1.2. $1.00 / week will be allocated to flight winners (best net score weekly) OR weekly hole contests (for Non-Scoring Flights)

2.1.3. $2.00 / week will be put towards the year end final banquet dinner, and prizes.

2.1.4. If you are unable to attend dinner, you will receive $25 in Loyalty points for use (Refer to WTG Loyal Rewards on website).

2.1.5.  Does Not contribute to any weekly green fees for regular or highlighted weeks.

 

2.2. LEAGUE MEMBER GREEN FEES:  

2.2.1 League members – Weekly Green and Cart Fees, Save 10% off our already Low Rates!   

2.2.2 Or choose WTG’s 18-week Play Pass – Includes 18 rounds of 9 holes of golf for one low price of $450!  See details on www.willowtreegolf.store packages. 

2.2.3 Additional League Member PERK!, as a WTG League player, you save 10% off all our rates whenever you play. (except outside tournaments you may be part of and online specials).

2.2.4 Willow Tree Members (Full or Restricted) – Pay no green fees, this is a special offer extended for 2025!

 

3.0. SCORING & HOLE CONTESTS– Based on minimum Two Flights (A & B).  We may introduce Flight C pending number of league players.

3.1. Flight A will consist net scoring and hole contests.

3.1.1 Hole contests will consist of 2 of 3 challenges (longest drive, closest to the keg/rope, longest putt, closest to pin)

3.1.2 Weekly scoring is based on your weekly net score. Net score is what you shot less your 9-hole handicap.

3.1.3 All scores are entered on SMART golf software by Pro Shop Staff. League Handicaps will be based on League scores only.  If you are new to league, or haven’t registered leagues scores in 2024, players require a minimum of 3 scores to begin establishing a handicap and then you will be eligible to weekly net score prizes. 

3.1.4.  Banked Scores are permitted up to a maximum of 4 per year.  Bank scores can be entered for net scores, but only If witnessed (signed).  Banked scores will be recorded on a marked score card give out by the golf pro shop.  This will help differentiate between regular and banked scores.  

3.1.5. Pick it up - having a bad hole, don’t worry!, we cap it off at 3 over for each hole. take the max score.  (Equitable Scoring (max double net bogey)

3.1.6. Gimme, less than 1 foot from hole, take a Gimme. 

3.2. Flight B will consist of hole contests, with increased prize amounts or added draw.   

3.3. All players tee off on red tees. 

 

4.0 PRIZE/WINNINGS – all league winnings are to be deposited into the winner’s loyalty account after each week.

4.1. Loyalty reward credit points are eligible to be used for golf shop items, green fees, cart fees, food & beverage. Loyalty reward credit points are NOT allowed to be used for league fees, tournament fees, memberships or gift certificates.

4.2. Loyalty reward credit points must be used by July 1st, 2026.

 

5.0 LEAGUE SCHEDULE, TIMES and TEE TIMES 

5.1 Opening Week– Thursday. May 8th and extend 18 weeks of play, ending in September. In the event of Course closure, League end date may be pushed back up to 2 weeks in September, ending no later than Sept 18th.

5.2 League players may book their tee times online up to 14 days in advance. Saved window is from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Online League times will remain secured to League players only until Friday before the  next league day. You may book into those times either online, by phone or in person starting 14 days in advance.

5.3 If you are unable to make the tee time you booked or someone else booked on your behalf, you must cancel your name from the tee time. You can do this online 24hrs per day, by phone or in person. Please provide as much notice as possible to make your spot available to other league
players.

 

 

6.0 HIGHTLIGHTED WEEKLY PLAY - The following 4 weeks will take place as follows:

6.1 Opening Scramble – Thursday, May 29 - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

6.1.1 Dinner paid separately - TBD

6.1.2 The Club will host a Ladies’ League Scramble with a Shotgun start at 5pm, where participants will be paired up in groups to get to know other members of the league.

6.1.3 Following the round, groups will be able to enjoy their dinner, with the larger group, and prizes will be handed out to various teams.

 

6.2 Scotch Twosome Event – Thursday June 19 - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

6.2.1 Dinner paid separately - TBD

6.2.2 SCOTCH TWOSOMEEVENT - the Club will host a Scotch Twosome event. Players will pick a partner and book a tee time. Scotch Twosomes are played with both players hitting tee shots, switching balls to play their second shot, and then choosing the best position from there and playing alternate shots into the hole.

6.2.3 Following the round, groups will be able to enjoy their dinner, with the larger group, and prizes will be handed out to various teams.

6.3 League Member/Guest - Thursday, August 21 - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

6.3.1 Dinner paid separately – TBD   

6.3.2 The Club will host a Ladies’ League Member/Guest Scramble with a Shotgun start at 5pm. League participants will register themselves and their guest to participate in a four-person scramble (keeping score is optional).

6.3.3 After the round, groups will be able to enjoy the dinner, with the larger group.

 

6.4 Closing Scramble & Dinner Banquet – ON Final Week! - Thurs, Sept 4 (REGISTRATION REQUIRED)

6.4.1 Dinner included in Registration - TBD.  

6.4.2 The Club will host our final scramble with a Shotgun start at 4:30pm, registration for both golf and the dinner will be required. This is always a highlight of the season, with a great dinner after golf and prizes.

 

7.0 Format - For those unfamiliar with the format of the WTG Ladies’ League, here are the steps for each Thursday night:

7.1 FRONT 9/BACK9 ROTATION – the league will continue to alternate between the front and back nine, each week (so long as it does not interfere with the regular scheduled golf course operations). In the event of flooding a modified 9 holes of play may be used, example holes 10, & 2 through 9.

7.1 Make up your own groups or add yourself as a single and you will be paired up.

7.2 Book your tee -time between 3:30pm and 5:30pm each Tuesday, by visiting or calling the Golf Shop.   (9 holes league to be played between these times, unless otherwise). 

7.3 Arrive for your tee time, check in at the Golf Shop (paying for your green fees or cart as necessary)

7.4 If playing the game, submit your score card after your round to the golf shop.

7.5 Join us on the patio for drinks and dinner.
